Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers, both men and women, fulfill a myriad of functions at Christian Women's Job Corps of Granbury as they provide leadership, spiritual support, instruction, direction, administrative help and training.

Prayer
Support 
Volunteers assist the CWJC ministry by continual prayer. The prayer support team is made aware of any special prayer needs. Pray daily for our participants.
 
Mentor
Each participant is matched with a trained mentor who helps her to set goals and counsels and guides her through any transition difficulties. These women often serve as role models because they emulate the faith, values, actions and self-motivation stressed in the CWJC program. Mentors enjoy working one-on-one with participants. (Females only—commitment of one hour/week with participant for 6 months; training provided)
 
Teacher
Men and women instructors teach participants in specific fields, and assist participants in obtaining life skills and job-readiness skills.
 
Teacher 
Assistant
 
Assist Teacher in computer class (classes vary in length from 3 days to 16 days depending on topic; class time is 9:40-10:55 every day)
 
Receptionist
Volunteers work in the CWJC office, performing various office duties such as answering telephones, preparing mailings, doing inventories, etc. (most shifts are 3 hours a week—morning or afternoon)
 
Fundraiser Assistant
 
Assist CWJC with spring and fall fundraisers
 
Lunch
Provider
 
Provide a meal(s) (lunch is served 4 days a week from 12:00-1:00)
 
Snack Provider
 
Provide nutritious snacks
 
Board  Member
Board Members participate in the strategic and long-term planning of the ministry and are responsible for the legal and fiduciary aspects of the ministry. They are advocates for CWJC. The Board meets once a month. Committees of the Board meet as necessary to carry out the business of CWJC.
 
Employment Provider 
 
Notify CWJC of any employment opportunities.
Financial Contributor
Provide scholarships for CWJC participants to enroll their child/children ages 12 months to 5 years in a local licensed daycare facility, or for other participant needs.
 
Graduation  Coordinator
 
Graduation Event - Coordinate graduation reception twice a year
Grant Writer
Write Grants
 
Alumni Contributor Donate gifts for prizes or provide refreshments for our quarterly Alumni program.
