Get involved! Volunteers, both men and women, fulfill myriad functions as they provide leadership, spiritual support, direction, administrative help and training.
Board Member
Volunteers serving in this capacity act as voting members of the Board of Directors. Board members participate in the development, operation and evaluation of the ministry and oversee the foundational ministries of CWJC. They are advocates for CWJC. The Board of Directors meets once a month. Committees of the Board meet as necessary to carry out the business of CWJC.
Board Committee Member
Volunteers may serve on one or more committees authorized by the Board of Directors, such as the fundraising or marketing committees. Committee members who are not Board Members have no voting privileges, but may be requested to attend occasional Board Meetings to give reports.
Committees are: Education, Expansion of Services, Fund Development, Marketing, Measurement & Tracking, Nominating, Policies, Procedures & Legal, Strategic Planning and Structure & Staffing.
Instructor
Volunteer instructors teach participants in specific fields, assisting participants to obtain life skills and job-readiness skills. Teachers are selected for their expertise in specific life and job skills.
Mentor
Each participant is matched with a trained mentor who helps her to set goals and counsels and guides her through any transition difficulties. These women often serve as role models because they emulate the faith, values, actions and self-motivation stressed in the CWJC program. Mentors enjoy working one-on-one with participants.
Meal Coordinators and helpers
